Bokashi is a Japanese word meaning
“fermented organic matter”
Our Bokashi bucket sets have two Bokashi buckets.
The Bokashi bran infused with effective micro-organisms (EM), is sprinkled over the food waste each time its added to the bucket to create a continuous cycle of turning food waste into an enriched organic material which can be dug into the garden or into the compost heap.
The buckets each come with a bottom “drain” plate, a tap, a plastic cup, a tool for pressing down the contents, and a well fitting lid to keep the whole thing airtight during the fermentation process.
